The town

Puigcerdà, embedded in the heart of the eastern Pyrenees, is a small town of 9,500 inhabitants in the center of the Cerdanya district at an altitude of 1,200 m a.s.l. In this calm mountain setting, all the major attractions and conference venues will be within walking distance and in the city center. Most hotels are also within walking distance or otherwise served by a good public transport system. The Cerdanya district is also rich in monuments and local culture. A set of activities will be prepared for participants as well as accompanying persons.

It is considered the capital of the Cerdanya, and trade and tourism are the primary sources of income for the town. It has an important tourist and commercial center, gastronomy, and a wide range of cultural events, recreation, and festive activities. A paradise in the middle of the Cerdanya valley, with countless rivers, lakes, and ancient forests. With summits around 3,000 m high, the surrounding mountains are the main attraction for nature lovers. You can practice plenty of winter sports but also a variety of activities in summer, such as trekking, hiking, long-distance routes, and others such as the Romanesque Routes, MTB Circuits, excursions on horseback, balloon flights…. The options are endless!
